Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 10, 2026
This policy explains what alphaovermind.com stores in your browser, why, and how you control it. It is part of our privacy policy. "Cookies" below means cookies and the similar browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage) that the same rules apply to.
Your choices
Only the necessary storage is set without asking. What happens next depends on where you are, because the law does:
- European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil (and anywhere we cannot tell): nothing else is set until you decide in the banner shown on your first visit, where "Reject all" and "Accept all" sit side by side and are equally easy to press. Rejecting changes nothing about what the site can do for you.
- Everywhere else, including the United States: analytics and marketing run from your first visit, a short notice says so, and "Cookie settings" lets you switch either off. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal we treat it as an opt-out of marketing before anything loads.
We work out where you are from the country CloudFront, our content delivery network, attaches to the request; the country code is kept in your browser for the tab and stored with your decision, nothing more precise than that.
A choice stands for six months, or until we change what we ask about, and you can revisit it at any time via (also at the bottom of every page). Withdrawing a category removes the cookies it set on this domain right away; a tag already running stays quiet until the next page load. Cookies the vendors set on their own domains are theirs to remove; each vendor's privacy policy, linked below, explains how.
Necessary
These exist only so that something you asked for works. They are never used to track you.
ao_consent(cookie, 6 months): your cookie choice, so we do not ask again on every page.ao.web.token(sessionStorage, until you close the tab or sign out, and valid for at most 24 hours): keeps you signed in on the account and signup pages.ao.web.checkout(sessionStorage, 2 hours or until the tab closes): notes that you started a checkout, so the return from Stripe lands on the right page.ao.hero.heard(sessionStorage, until the tab closes): remembers that the demo audio on the landing page has played, so it does not start again.
Analytics
With your consent, tools that count visits and show us which pages are read.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd). Counts visits and which pages are read, so we know what on the site works. Cookies:
_ga(2 years),_ga_*(2 years). Privacy policy.
Marketing
With your consent, the measurement tags of the advertising platforms we buy ads on. Each one tells its platform whether the ad that brought you here led to a signup or a subscription, and lets that platform show our ads to people similar to our customers. The platforms are independent controllers of the data their tags collect; their policies are linked.
- Google Ads conversion tracking (Google Ireland Ltd). Tells Google which of its ads led to a signup or a subscription, so we pay for the ones that work. Cookies:
_gcl_au(90 days),_gcl_aw(90 days),_gcl_gb(90 days). Privacy policy. - Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd). Measures our Facebook and Instagram ads and lets Meta show them to people like our customers. Cookies:
_fbp(90 days),_fbc(90 days). Privacy policy. - Reddit Pixel (Reddit, Inc.). Measures our Reddit ads. Cookies:
_rdt_uuid(90 days),_rdt_cid(90 days). Privacy policy. - X Pixel (X Corp.). Measures our ads on X. Cookies:
_twpid(13 months),_twsid(13 months),_twclid(30 days). Privacy policy.
Also in this category, set by us and only with marketing consent: ao_attr (cookie, 90 days), which holds the click identifier the advertising platform appended to the link you arrived on (for example gclid or fbclid) and the campaign parameters of that link. When you subscribe, we pass that identifier, together with a hashed form of your email address, to the platform the click came from, so it can count the subscription. This happens from our server as well as from your browser, because browsers increasingly drop the platforms' own cookies before a trial converts; it happens only if you allowed marketing cookies, and not at all otherwise.
Payment
Payment takes place on Stripe's own checkout page, on Stripe's domain. Stripe sets the cookies it needs there to process the payment and prevent fraud, under its own privacy policy. Nothing about that is governed by the banner on this site.
Proof of consent
Each decision you make in the banner, and the default applied where no prior choice is required, is recorded with a random identifier, the time, the version of this policy, which of the two regimes applied and the country it was based on, and the IP address and browser it came from, so that we can show a supervisory authority what was agreed to. The record is kept for up to three years and is not used for anything else.
