Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Alpha Overmind macOS application, the Alpha Overmind mobile application, and alphaovermind.com (together, "Alpha Overmind"), operated by Pied Apps AB ("we", "us"). Alpha Overmind is built so that the most sensitive data involved, your source code, your prompts and your agents' transcripts, never reaches us at all.

The short version

• Your code and conversations stay on your devices. The phone app connects directly to your own Mac over an end-to-end encrypted link. Transcripts, prompts, file names, repository contents and tool output travel only on that link. We run no relay and no tunnel, and we cannot read that traffic.
• We never store how to reach your Mac. Your Mac's address, its identity keys, pairing secrets and the list of paired computers exist only on your own devices.
• Push notifications are content-free. A notification carries an agent's display name, a category (for example "needs permission") and internal identifiers. Never transcript text.
• Alpha Overmind never handles your AI provider credentials. The desktop app drives the agent software you installed yourself (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex), under your own accounts. We do not see, store or transmit your Anthropic or OpenAI logins or API keys.

Data we do process

Account data

An account exists for push notifications and your subscription. It can be anonymous (created on-device, no personal details) or linked to an email address, a Sign in with Apple identity or a Google identity. We store: your email address (if linked), a display name (if you set one), a hashed password (email accounts only), your language preference, app version and platform, and timestamps.

Push notification data

To deliver notifications we store your device push tokens and a random push identifier that your Mac uses to request a notification without having an account of its own. We keep a copy of delivered notifications (the content-free title and body described above) so the app can show an inbox; you can delete them by deleting your account.

Voice

Agent voices are rendered on your own Mac using the speech provider key you configure in the desktop app, and the audio streams to your phone over the direct encrypted link. Voice text and audio never pass through our servers.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. We receive subscription state (product, expiry, renewal status) tied to your account id. We never see your payment details.

Analytics and crash reporting

We use Amplitude and Firebase Analytics to understand which features are used (screens viewed, buttons tapped, subscription events) and Sentry for crash reports. These events carry your account id and device metadata, never your code or transcripts. On iOS, ad-related tracking happens only if you allow it in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. If we run app-install ads, attribution partners (Meta, Tenjin) receive standard install and purchase signals subject to that same consent.

Support

If you contact support we process the message and email address you provide, and the IP address the message was sent from (spam prevention).

What we never collect

• Source code, prompts, transcripts, file names or tool output.
• Your Mac's network address, identity keys or pairing secrets.
• Your Anthropic credentials or any API keys stored on your Mac.
• Your precise location, contacts, photos or messages.

Where data lives and how long

Backend data is stored with Amazon Web Services (region: EU, Ireland) and MongoDB Atlas. We keep account data for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account (Settings, then Delete account) removes your account record, push registrations and notification history from our systems immediately; backups expire within 30 days.

Sharing

We share data only with the processors named above (AWS, MongoDB Atlas, RevenueCat, Amplitude, Google Firebase, Sentry, our email relay) and only to provide the service. We do not sell personal data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, export or erase your personal data. In-app account deletion covers erasure; for anything else contact support@alphaovermind.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Alpha Overmind is a developer tool, not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy here and update the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
